Wilma Jones Crowell was born August 15, 1959 to the parentage of OZ and Lucille Jones. She answered the Master's Call at Springhill Hospital on Sunday, Febuary 8,2026.
Wilma, affectionately known as "Rab" or "Ma" was the 13th child of 13th children. She never failed to let you know that she was "THE BABY!' She loved planting flowers and mowing her grass, watching African food shows, and took no greater joy in being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother,. She also found joy in extending herself as a mother to others.
At early age., she united with James Chapel Baptist Church in Saint Stephens, AL. Later on in life, she moved her membership to Good Stone A.M.E. Zion under the leadership of Paster Juanita Brown-Johnson. She was an active member at both churches, serving in the choir, youth department, secretarial roles, and many other capacities.
In addition to her parents, Wilma is preceded in death by ten silblings: brothers: Luzell, Wille Odell, James Edward, Jimmy Lee, William Charles and Joe Frank Jones; sisters: Dorothy, Ernestine, Mary and Marion; and devoted niece, Erica Jones.
Wilma leaves to cherish her legacy and precious memories, her husband, Luther Crowell, Jr.; her five heartbeats: sons: Dexter and Raynard Jones; Daughters: Latresha (Frank) James, Courtney (Charlie) Clark and Atoya Jones; thirteen grandchildren: Shaquanda (Lounel) Julien, Keionta, Travis, DexterJr., Xavier, Saniyyah, Shanta, Braxton,Micah, Abrielle, Hayden, Raynard 2, and Dekaiden; four honorary grandchildren: Brandon, Bryson, Delia and Emilia, two great-grandchildren: Kai'Land and Cy'Meire; siblings: Leroy Jones and Barbara (Curtis) Davis; and a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
